Bilovit Bay Laurel Essential Oil is a warm, spicy-herbal fragrance with a cool, camphor-like flash, obtained from the leaves of the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis). In a nebulizer, diffuser or sauna it builds a spiced, wintry atmosphere in the room, and diluted in a carrier oil it also finds its way into skin and hair care.
About the product
Bay laurel oil smells warm and spicy, with an herbal core and a cool, camphor-like flash at the start. Dry rather than sweet. The raw material is the leaves of the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), the same plant whose leaf goes into a pot of broth, although the essential oil is far more concentrated than the kitchen spice and smells much sharper.
The aroma is dense and lasting. A few drops are enough for a whole room, and in wintry blends bay laurel underlines the spicy notes and tones down fruity sweetness.

Pairs well with
Clove, cinnamon and orange build a classic spiced blend with bay laurel. Rosemary and sage strengthen its herbal side, while cedar and pine set it in a woody, wintry base.
Intended use
Scenting interiors: nebulizer, diffuser, aroma burner, air humidifier, sauna stones, as well as scent devices and car air fresheners. Diluted in a carrier oil, the essential oil can also be used in skin and hair care.
How to use
The fragrance comes through best in a nebulizer, where the oil is used undiluted. For a diffuser or humidifier, add 3-5 drops per 100 ml of water. In an aroma burner, mix a few drops with water or carrier oil and warm gently. In a sauna, add 2-3 drops to the water poured over the stones. On the skin only after dilution to 1-2%, that is 2-3 drops per 10 ml of carrier oil.
Ingredients (INCI)
Laurus Nobilis Leaf Oil, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool. The bolded compounds are naturally occurring components of bay leaf oil. The composition contains no added fragrance substances.
Precautions
Bay laurel is one of the more demanding oils in this family and calls for extra caution. Do not apply undiluted to the skin: it irritates the skin and eyes and may cause an allergic reaction. Before first use, do a patch test on a small area of skin and wait 24 hours; stop using the product at the first signs of irritation. Avoid contact with the eyes; if it happens, rinse with plenty of water and contact a doctor. Avoid inhaling the vapours: do not sniff directly from the bottle, ventilate the room regularly while a diffuser is running and do not leave the device on overnight. Do not swallow; if swallowed, do not induce vomiting and contact a doctor immediately, showing the packaging. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding; use in children only after consulting a doctor. Keep away from sources of ignition, as the oil is flammable. Store in a tightly closed bottle, protected from light. Do not pour down the drain: the oil is harmful to aquatic life.
